With some cards you may receive interest free purchases or interest free cash withdrawals and you may be able to take advantage of the offer for anything from 3 months to 12 months.

Interest free balance transfers allow you to move the balance from an existing credit card to your new credit card. Again, the period ranges from anything up to a year giving you this opportunity to pay off the debt without having to repay any interest on the capital you borrowed. The worst thing you can do with a balance transfer credit card offer is to leave
the capital untouched for the period of the offer. You should take the opportunity to repay as much money as you possibly can, even if this only works out to be a small part of the total capital.
