STUDENT CREDIT CARD HELPS
TO PAY FOR COLLEGE
There are a number of views on the use of a student credit
card. Some believe that taking on credit card debt as a
student is the only way to effectively get through college
while others believe that credit card debt is damaging
enough to people already in full time employment let
alone to students.
Credit card rates are a lot higher than student loan
repayments but a student loan invariably falls short
of offering the amount of money that most students
require when they are at college and whereas most
students would have failed to get a credit card ten
years ago it is not difficult to find a credit card
company to offer you a card even if you are a full
time student.
Whatever your beliefs, it is a proven fact that
graduates get more mentally stimulating and financially
rewarding jobs than non graduates and lenders know
this when they take students on. They know that in
the future they will not struggle to get their money
back.
Having a credit card is vital not only for financial purposes.
In many cases, hiring a car or other vehicle is virtually
impossible unless you have a credit card to hand. In
these cases you might want to consider the use of a
secured credit card. A secured credit card requires
you to deposit an amount of money onto the card
before you can use it.
Once you have deposited money onto your prepaid
credit card then you will be given this amount as
your credit limit. You are able to spend up to this
amount of money but not more than. A secured
credit card is a very safe way for students to
have the benefits of a credit card without the
financial commitment.
